LET'S CONNECT

I spent a lot of years loving God and feeling far from Him at the same time.

I didn't have language for it then. What I didn't know was that I was carrying grief. The slow, quiet kind that disconnects you from God without you even realizing it's happening.

Rebecca's Story

Everything I carry, I lived first.

In that season of grief, the things I had always leaned on stopped working. The striving, the performing, the trying to hold it all together spiritually. None of it was touching the real thing underneath. I couldn't explain why God was good. I just knew I needed Him to show me.

He did. Slowly, honestly, in the places I had been most afraid to look. And I have never been the same since.

I've been married to Justin for fifteen years and together we're raising four kids in New York City. I hold a Master's Degree in Leadership and a certificate in Narrative Focused Trauma Care from the Allender Center. But what shaped me most came through my own story.

I believe that many people who feel far from God are carrying grief they were never taught to hold.

I believe that when we avoid pain long enough, something in us slowly closes down. Joy gets harder to access. Wonder fades. The fullness of life with God starts feeling like something other people experience. Grief that goes uncarried has a way of taking everything else with it.

I believe healing is possible. The kind that moves through the hard things honestly, with God close and present the whole way through.

And I believe you don't have to have the right words or the right amount of faith to begin. You just have to be willing to show up honestly. God has never asked for more than that.
